A single, 6-sided die or dice.
5 vs 5
A small-sized game that consist of a battle wherein players each bring a squad of 5 units. See the Game Setup page for more info and an example game for 2 players.

10 vs 10
A medium-sized game that consist of a battle wherein players each bring a squad of 10 units. See the Game Setup page for more info and an example game for 2 players.

5 vs 10
An a-symmetric game that consist of a battle between 5 regular units and 10 NPCs. This game can be played either with 2 players or alone. See the Game Setup page for more info and an example game of a 5 vs 10 battle..

3 vs 3 vs 3 vs 3
A 4-player game that consist of a battle wherein players each bring smalls squad of 3 units. This game mode can also be played with 5 units instead of 3 units each. See the Game Setup page for more info and an example game for 4 players.​

Attacker
The unit that is attacking another unit. An attacker is always controlled by a player who's turn it is. The attacker has to make an attack roll for each attack.
Attack Roll
A die roll made by the attacking player. The result of the roll has to be a 3 or higher in order to have a successful attack.
B

Base
The stand of your model. Used for melee attacks. Two models are touching each other when the stands or bases are touching each other.

Battle
A single round of Easy Wargame. A game can consist of only 1 round, or multiple rounds. Agree with your opponent(s) how many rounds you want to play.
Brawler
​
​One of the 6 unit types. Brawlers are a type of unit that are experts in close combat. For more details, check out the dedicated Brawler page.

​
Combat
When two units engage with each other. The attacking units makes an attack roll, the defending units makes a defense roll.

Commander
​One of the 6 unit types. Leader are are strongest units in the game and should only be taken in limited numbers. For more details, check out the dedicated Commander page.

Defeated
A defeated unit lost all his hit points due to successful attacks. This unit has died and is removed from the game.
​
Defender
The unit that is being attacking by another unit. A defender or defending unit is always controlled by a player who is not in his own turn. The defender has to make a defense roll for each attack.

Defense Roll
A die roll made by the defending player. The result of the roll has to be a 3 or higher in order to have a successful defense.

Easy Wargame
​Easy Wargame is a free, beginner-friendly tabletop game designed for anyone who owns miniature models. It has free rules and examples for a game specifically designed to accommodate a mix of miniature models.

Elite
​One of the 6 unit types. Elites are a type of unit that can fight from close or long range. For more details, check out the dedicated Elite page.

​
​Hit Point
​How often your character can get 'hit'. Also referred as how many 'lives' a model has. Most models have 2 Hit Points. That means they if they get hit 2 times, they die and you must remove them from the game.
Most units have either 1 or 2 Hit Points. Only Commanders have 4 Hit Points, that means they can absorb 4 attacks before they die.

​
Melee Attack
​Attacks from close range, or 'melee range'. That means your model can only attack if it touches another model. You cannot perform a melee attack if your model is not touching another model. This can be challenging, but most models have more melee attacks than ranged attacks. A model can have 1, 2 or 4 melee attacks, depending on the stats.
​
Miniature
​A miniature figure or miniature model. When a miniature is referred to in the game rules, it is referring to a miniature model. These are needed to play Easy Wargame. A model or miniature can be any figure you already own, regardless of the brand or type. See the different types of units to appoint a unit type to your exciting model.

​
Move
​The distance your model can walk per turn. Units can either walk 6 or 12 inches. The standard movement distance is 6 inch, unless your model is a Brawler. To move your unit during a game, simply place you model within the allowed distance in any direction.

NPC
One of the 6 unit types. Minions are a weak unit that are best used in combination with other units. For more details, check out the dedicated NPC page.

Opponent
​The person playing a game of Easy Wargame, other than yourself. A single game can have multiple opponents.
​

Player
​The person controlling an army of miniatures. Each game has 1 to 8 players.
​​
R
​
Range
​Maximum Distance a model can shoot from. Either 6 or 12 inches, if they have a shooting attack. Sharpshooters are the best shooters in the game and can shoot from 12".
​
Ranged Attack
​An attack from a range, or 'shooting attack'. That means your model can attack if it's away from another model. Models can perform shooting attacks from 6 or 12 inches away, but not all models have a ranged attack though.
​
Re-Roll
Chose a die and roll it again. The first result will be discarded and only the new results counts for the game. This is not part of the official rules, but decide with your opponent if you are allowed to re-roll bad die rolls during a battle..

Roll
Rolling with a single die. Easy Wargame only uses 6-sided dice. A single die with six sides is also known as a 1d6.

Sharpshooter
​One of the 6 unit types. Sharpshooter are a type of unit that can fight from extreme long distance. For more details, check out the dedicated Sharpshooter page.

Skirmish
​A small-scale miniature tabletop game like Easy Wargame, usually with less than 10 models. These games tends to focus of the tactics and movement of single units on the battle.

Squad
​A group of units. sometimes referred to as an army.
​
Stats
Short for statistics, these are a collection of characteristics of a unit, such as hit points, movement and number of attacks. All statics are combined in the Stat Sheets section.

Support
​One of the 6 unit types. Support units are a type of unit that allows another unit to re-roll a single die per turn. For more details, check out the dedicated Support page.

T
​​
Terrain
A piece of Terrain is any object that you place in the game area. Your units can interact with terrain by hiding behind it. Any object can be used as long as it matches the scale of your units.
​
Turn
Your initiative to make actions with your units. You have the turn until you all your units have made an action (move and/or attack), or until you pass the turn to your opponent.​
